Fall is here!

It is officially my favorite time of year! I look forward to fall every year after suffering through a long, hot summer. However, strangely enough, our summer this year has been really pleasant and I've been a little sad to see it over so soon. But after our little trip last weekend, it totally got me in the mood for chilly weather, hot soups, snuggly clothes, Halloween, and all that stuff. We had the chance to go to a place called Brown County State Park in Indiana, near a little town called Nashville. We camped for 2 nights in the park, which went really well considering it rained the first day and poured the first night, resulting in a little more mud than I appreciate. However, the park was absolutely BEAU-TI-FUL. I'm talking rolling, wooded hills, which were already starting to turn colors. We even went on a hayride one evening through the park, which was fun. The little town a few miles away was like something from Norman Rockwell. I think there was one stoplight in the town, and tons of little, darling shops full of antiques, crafts, everything cute you can imagine. Oh man, it was heaven. I could never spend enough time there! The weather was so perfect, just a tiny bit chilly. It was great. After we got home, Brian got all depressed and declared himself in "woods withdrawal." We're hoping to go back for a weekend in October to see the leaves in full color.

Some awesome views

On the hay ride

Our friends came up one day to see the sights with us,

this is a picture of Kylee, Makayla and Aubrey. They really weren't

as miserable as they look.

My little ragga-muffin. They were both pretty filthy by the time

we got home. And no, we don't usually give them a tub of macaroni

and cheese to chow down on.

Becky I am jealous!! Going to those kinds of places are my favorite. You just don't get beautiful scenery like that here in Arizona!!
